Family Yoga Centre Privacy Policy

The following policy sets forth how Family Yoga Centre Ltd., (“FYC “) collects, uses and discloses the information about FYC students and newsletter recipients (collectively, “You”) that FYC collects in its business (the “FYC Services”) of providing yoga instruction, providing newsletters or on this website (“Your Information”).

Accountability – Contacting FYC.

Limited Collection.

FYC does not collect any other information other than the information FYC reasonably requires in order to provide FYC’s Services to You and all of its customers. FYC does not collect names, postal or e-mail addresses, and phone numbers of non-customer visitors to FYC’s Web site, except when you sign up for FYC’s newsletter in which case FYC collects
names and email address as further described below.

Identifying Purposes – Information Collected.

To signup for regular classes, FYC collects identifiable information, including, but not limited to, name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and any other information FYC reasonably requires in order to provide access to yoga instruction services to You. Subject only to the medical classes referred to below, we do not collect written information regarding any physical conditions you may have. If you chose to provide information orally to any FYC instructor(s) about your physical condition in advance of any FYC Services, such condition may be referred to during the FYC Services in order to provide alternative options to assist you in your yoga practice and as a result, such oral information will not be considered private confidential information by either you or FYC.

To signup for periodic special needs classes, FYC collects basic information about the condition for which you seek admittance to a medical class offered by FYC. Such information will be shared with the instructor(s) assigned to assist you in your yoga practice during the special needs class and will be used to develop the appropriate yoga practice for you during the special needs class. During oral instruction to you during the special needs class, such condition may be referred to during the FYC Services in order to offer you instruction during the special needs class.

You may opt not to register as an FYC student but only to provide your name and e-mail address to FYC in order to receive e-mails from or notices under FYC’s e-mail newsletter subscriptions. In the event you opt to receive such e-mails, notices or access from FYC, the terms of this Privacy Policy will apply to you and the information collected by FYC to provide such e-mails, notices or access will be treated as if it were student information under this Privacy Policy.

Consent.

By providing the information collected for registration as a FYC student or a recipient of the FYC newsletters, You consent to the collection and use of such information. FYC may retain copies of any communications FYC sends to or receives from You and other visitors to our site for our records, but may not use any such information except in accordance with the terms of FYC’s Privacy Policy

Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention – Use of Collected Information.

FYC will use the information it collects during the registration process and in connection the provision of the FYC Services. Due to the anticipated continuing nature of the FYC Services, FYC will retain Customer Information for FYC to provide the FYC’s Services to You until you request that FYC delete such information from its records.

Accuracy

Customer update or deletion of information collected by FYC.
You have a responsibility to keep certain information current with FYC. You may correct, change, update or delete Your Information by speaking to any of the instructors at FYC.

Safeguards

Information Sharing.

FYC and its instructors may have access to Your Information. FYC will not disclose, sell, rent, license, exchange or release Your Information to third parties except in accord with this policy, when FYC has permission from You or when FYC believes in good faith that the law requires it or under the circumstances described below. FYC does not use credit card
payments.

FYC may disclose Your Information when FYC has reason to believe that disclosing Your Information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference (either intentionally or unintentionally) with FYC rights or property, other FYC customers, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities.
FYC does not share aggregated customer Information with any third parties. From time to time, FYC may retain the services of third-party instructors. FYC may allow these third parties to access Your Information, but only to the extent required to perform the tasks FYC has retained such instructors to perform that may include certain guest instructors for the provision of the FYC Services. FYC’s shall require such third parties to agree to maintain the confidentiality of Your Information in compliance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Cookies.

FYC’s web site(s) may use cookies to recognize each FYC’s web site user and allow FYC to provide customized services and improve the performance and usability of any FYC website(s). FYC may offer certain features that are only available through the use of a “cookie”. You are always free to decline our cookies if Your browser permits, although in that case You may not be able to use certain features on FYC’s website(s).

Security Precautions.

FYC takes protective measures related to information security within the FYC Services to ensure the confidentiality of Your sensitive Customer Information while stored or in use within the FYC Services and implements physical security measures designed to prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, destruction or alteration of the personal information we collect.

The FYC sites may contain links to other sites but FYC is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites.

Openness – Your choices regarding collection, use and distribution of Your

Information.

By becoming a FYC Student or a FYC newsletter recipient, You agree that FYC may collect certain information (as detailed in this Privacy Policy) from and about You to enroll You as a student of the FYC Services or recipient of the FYC Newsletter.

During your review of FYC’s website or during registration as a student, FYC will offer the opportunity to receive newsletters from FYC. You will be provided a choice whether to accept or not accept this offer. If You accept, FYC (or agents working on behalf of FYC) may occasionally send You such newletters. If this offer is not accepted, then You will not receive such newsletters. If You initially accept, You will be provided opportunity to discontinue receiving such newsletter (unsubscribe) each time it is sent.

Customer Contact.
FYC reserves the right to contact You regarding account status and changes to this Privacy Policy, or any other policies or agreements relevant to You. Your access to information collected by FYC. Upon written request and payment of the associated administrative fee, FYC will provide to You a summary of any of Your Information retained by FYC regarding You.

FYC will inform individuals who make enquiries or lodge complaints about FYC’s enquiry or complaint procedures, as applicable. If a complaint is found to be justified, FYC will take appropriate measures, including, if necessary, amending FYC’s policies and practices.

Changes to the Privacy Policy.
Of course, this Privacy Policy is subject to applicable privacy laws and FYC ‘s right to change it at any time. FYC may change this Privacy Policy at any time and will post the changes to the Privacy Policy on our Web sites. FYC will notify You via email of the changes Your continued use of the FYC Services following the posting of any changes to this Policy constitutes acceptance of those changes. If You do not agree to any such change, You must terminate Your agreement with FYC and cease using the FYC Services.
